  • Find a comfortable home for your Landing Pad. Plug the charger into the wall with a USB-C cable and the charging block that comes with your phone. Once the Landing Pad is plugged in, the lights underneath will flash three times to let you know it’s ready to charge.

Set your phone on top of the Landing Pad, and the silicone feet below will give off a subtle glow to show you that your device is comfortably charging.

The lights will stop glowing as soon as your phone has received a full charge.

  • Our wireless chargers are compatible with most phones manufactured from 2018 onward.

For Android phones, you can find compatible devices here.

For Apple phones, iPhone 8 or later are compatible.

If you’re uncertain about the compatibility, please do a quick search online with the model of  your phone + “wireless charging compatibility".

  • As many people already have one (or several) USB-C cables in their home, we have kept the addition of a cable as an option to:

    1. Help keep the number of cables in your life to a minimum.

    1. Eliminate electronic waste.

    2. Lower the purchase price if you already have a USB-C cable.

  • Not at all! The Landing Pad requires a USB-C cable to be plugged into the wall. Take the end of the cable that usually goes into your phone’s charging port, and plug it into the Landing Pad.

You will require a charging block (that comes with your phone or can be found online) for the other end of the USB-C cable, unless you are using a USB wall outlet.

  • The Landing Pad's electronic components are FCC, CE, and RoHS compliant.

Additionally, the Qi wireless charging standard, which the Landing Pad adheres to, includes many safety measures including foreign object detection to protect both your charger and any devices you may use it with.

The Landing Pad makes a great end of the day charger by providing your phone with a soft place to land, and a safe way to charge. It’s perfectly safe to leave it on the charging pad overnight or for an extended period of time.

Most modern phones slow their charging at night to help increase the lifespan of your device's battery.

  • All wireless chargers require a source of power to provide a charge to your phone. The charger is plugged into a power outlet once and becomes a fixed charging station for convenient everyday use.

You no longer have the task of plugging your phone in each time you use it. This also reduces the wear and tear on the charging port of your phone.

  • We will accept a return within 30 days and refund the purchase price minus shipping costs. The Landing Pad must be returned in the same condition as it was when purchased.

If someone else purchased the Landing Pad for you and you'd like to return it, the purchaser must be the one to return the charger and they will receive a refund via the method of payment use at the time of purchase.

Upon receiving your return, we will inspect the Landing Pad to ensure it is in the same condition as it was when purchased.

The Landing Pad also makes a perfect gift and can be given to someone with a compatible device!

  • Apple has included wireless charging capabilities on their phones since the release of the iPhone 8.

If you currently use a case with a magnet, it will most likely interfere with the Landing Pad’s charging ability.

Many other case designs still work with our charger, despite thickness and materials.

  • We cannot guarantee that your phone will accept a charge while using a PopSocket. However, we have seen many customers try The Landing Pad with a PopSocket installed on the back of their phone or case, and in the majority of these cases it worked as expected.

If you are interested in testing your phone, you can visit one of our retail locations or find us at a market near you!

  • As we use solid hardwoods in the construction of each Landing Pad, variation in grain and colour will occur, making each unique by their very nature.

If you're not happy with what you received, please contact us and we will do everything we can to make it right.

  • While we love that idea, unfortunately we are unable to do this, as all of the fabrics we use are a specific thickness and weave to ensure the optimal performance of The Landing Pad.

If you have a recommendation for a colour you'd love to see, we'd love to hear your suggestions!

A rechargeable page holder with lights next to a teal-colored emblem with the text 'The Pager' embossed on it.
  • The Pager Knight, as with many of our products, is made from solid hardwoods and is therefore susceptible to damage from excessive moisture.

Never submerge your Pager Knight as this can lead to damaging the wood surface, and potentially harming the electronic components contained within.

If the wood surface of your Pager Knight is exposed to moisture, it may trigger the light to come on and stay on. To reset the sensor, place your Pager Knight on your wireless charger until the lights shut off, then remove and allow to air dry for 24 hours.

If wood discolouration or surface damage occurs, you may use a piece of fine sandpaper (220 - 400 grit) to resurface the effected area.

Use your preferred vegetable or cutting board oil to restore the wood to its original lustre.

  • The Pager Knight will operate for around 16 hours before it requires a charge. It can be used well after the 16 hour point, but the light will become dimmer and less useful.

When you find your Pager Knight isn’t giving you enough reading light, it’s time to place it on your wireless charger to top it up.

  • A red light will glow when you place your Pager Knight on your wireless charger to indicate it is in charging mode. This light will turn to blue once your Pager Knight is fully charged and ready to read with you. The typical charge time is 30 minutes.

Each Pager Knight has built-in battery protections to prevent over-charging and over-discharging ensuring the safety and lifespan of the built-in button cell batteries.

  • The Pager Knight charges wirelessly on any Qi or MagSafe wireless charger including the Landing Pad.

If you do not own a wireless charger, but have an android phone, you likely have the built-in ‘Battery Share’ feature, allowing you to charge your Pager Knight using only your phone. For more information and compatibility details regarding this feature, please refer to your phone’s manufacturer.

  • The Pager Knight is constantly checking to see if it’s time to turn on the lights. Occasionally it can get confused and think you’re still there even when you’ve put it down. In these cases, it will typically shut off after a few minutes being left alone, but if it stays lit for longer than ten minutes, you may want to reset the Pager Knight’s internal sensor.

To reset the sensor, place your Pager Knight on a wireless charger until the light turns off. This resets and recalibrates the Pager Knight. After a second or two, you can remove your Pager Knight and continue to use it or put it away for the day.

  • The Pager Knight is carved from solid hardwoods (typically maple or beechwood) and filled with Magic Resin brand food safe epoxy. It is safe to interact with and encourages young readers.

The use of the Pager Knight is not intended for children under the age of 3.

Illustration of a one move puzzle box, alongside a sign reading 'The Hex-pansion Box'.
  • The Hexpansion Box is essentially a single move puzzle box and it can take some time to get used to how it opens and closes.

For those just starting out, we suggest placing the box sandwiched between your palms and twisting in a clockwise motion. Once the box begins to open, try sliding it open the rest of the way by pushing on the upper and lower panels.

Once you have opened and closed the box a few times it’ll suddenly seem very easy to accomplish.

  • The Hexpansion box contains 3 sets of magnetic latches which prevent the box from being opened too far and pulling apart. Because of this, you often will need to give the side of the box a light tap in order to get it started when closing.

  • The Hex-pansion box is best kept stored in environments with a relative humidity of 55% or above. Very dry environments will cause the wood to move and could prevent the box from operating correctly.

If this occurs and your Hex-pansion box has seized up, move the box to a more humid environment and leave it there for a day or two. This will restore it to its normal behaviour.

  • As the Hex-pansion box is made from solid hardwoods and finished with a blend of oils and beeswax, it is susceptible to water damage.

Leave your box to air dry for 24 hours. Afterward, if there are signs of discolouration or a rough surface finish, you can use a sheet of fine sandpaper (220 - 400 grit) to resurface any effected areas. Once smoothed, apply a vegetable or cutting board oil to bring back the wood’s natural lustre.
